The Advanced Flight Nurse (AFN) programme is an intensive 5-day professional development programme designed for nurses seeking to advance their knowledge and competencies in aeromedical and critical care transport.
The programme combines advanced nursing principles with aeromedical physiology, patient assessment and stabilisation, critical care management, aircraft environmental considerations, medical equipment, human factors, mission coordination and emergency response.
Through theory, practical skills, case-based learning and simulation, participants develop the clinical judgement, situational awareness and multidisciplinary teamwork required to support the safe transport of critically ill and high-risk patients within the aeromedical environment.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Professional Certificate of Completion in Advanced Flight Nursing issued by Lifedot Aeromedical Academy.
